Hepi is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Soft Biomatter Lab since March 2025, specializing in biomaterials and tissue engineering. Previously, he was a research fellow at the Mechanobiology Institute, Singapore, where he worked on an in vitro aging model using dynamic hydrogels. He received his BS in chemistry from METU (Turkey), a MS in Materials Science from Bilkent University (Turkey), and a PhD in Bioscience from KAUST (Saudi Arabia). His current research focuses on utilizing bioengineering strategies for the large-scale production of encapsulated stem cells.
