June, 2018 - Sept. 2018 Email: cv4te@virginia.edu Carolina is a visiting student from the University of Washington, where she worked on carbon nanotubes supported catalysts. She obtained her B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and M.Sc. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. In her master study, she worked on ionic liquids functionalized polyamide fibers with enhanced adhesion to epoxy matrix. She also worked for two years in the industry at a petrochemical plant in the process and technology development department. Her current research is focused on the development of an antifouling and bactericide polymer coating for biomedical devices. In her free time, Carolina likes to workout, play cello, practice German, watch series and movies and go out with friends. She also enjoys travelling, meeting new people, experiencing other cultures and learning new languages. Current: PhD Student at University of Virginia
