Catherine is a first-year graduate student in Materials Science and Engineering. She received her B.S. in Chemical and Materials Engineering at Chang Gung University.
Catherine comes from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She loves cooking, reading, visiting museums, and watching movies.

Gengyu is a postdoc research researcher in Soft Biomatter Lab. He received his BS in Chemistry from University of Science and Technology of China, and PhD in Chemistry from University of Virginia, where he worked on micelle-encapsulated enantioselective fluorescence sensors under the supervision of Prof. Lin Pu. His current research is focused on charged copolymers and 2D polymers.
Gengyu has been teaching undergrads for years and enjoys seeing his students learn things by coming up with their own thinkings. He also loves the nature by far. He alywas wishes to witness natural wonders with his family and his lovely dog JayJay.

Zhouhao Fan is a first-year graduate student in Chemical Engineering. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a math minor at Ohio State University.
He was born in Zhejiang, China. He loves to play basketball and computer games in his spare time.

Zihao Gong is a graduate student in Materials Science and Engineering. He obtained his B.S. in Polymer Material and Technology from East China University of Science and Technology. He did his M.S. study in Polymer Science at the University of Akron where he worked in Dr. Stephen Z.D. Cheng's lab on self-assembly of molecules based on polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane. His current research is focused on 3D printable soft polymers.
Zihao comes from China, and he is very glad to share his experience and culture with others. He is also a badminton player and looking forward anyone to having fun together.

Sean was born in California but raised in Korea before he moved to Virginia when he was 11. Sean has an eclectic taste in music; his Spotify playlist is guaranteed to delight, offend, and/or confuse the listeners. He is a chemistry major interested in the material science. He previously worked as a chemistry teaching assistant at NOVA. He graduated from UVA in summer 2020 and he will join the University of Chicago for his PhD study.

Mucui Lin is a second-year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in biotechnology.
Mucui enjoys socializing with friends, watching Netflix, volunteering at animal shelters, drawing, and seeking out new experiences.
Bocheng Liu is a third-year undergraduate student from Zhejiang University. He is majoring in Control Science and Engineering.
In his spare time, Bocheng loves watching TV shows and playing games with friends.

Zongwei (John) Ma is a third-year undergraduate student in Lanzhou University, China and his major is Chemistry. He joined Soft Biomatter Lab in June 2018 as a visiting student. He previously researched in micelles for drug delivery. In Soft Biomatter Lab, he researches in self-healing materials and degradable biomedical materials.
Zongwei was born in Harbin, northeast of China. He likes playing badminton & table tennis, cooking and reading antient Chinese literature. He is looking forward to making some new friends.

Carolina is a visiting student from the University of Washington, where she worked on carbon nanotubes supported catalysts. She obtained her B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and M.Sc. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. In her master study, she worked on ionic liquids functionalized polyamide fibers with enhanced adhesion to epoxy matrix. She also worked for two years in the industry at a petrochemical plant in the process and technology development department. Her current research is focused on the development of an antifouling and bactericide polymer coating for biomedical devices.
In her free time, Carolina likes to workout, play cello, practice German, watch series and movies and go out with friends. She also enjoys travelling, meeting new people, experiencing other cultures and learning new languages.

Shifeng Nian is a postdoctoral researcher in Soft Biomatter Lab. He obtained B.S. in Polymer Chemistry from University of Science and Technology of China, and PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Virginia, where he worked with Prof. Lin Pu on enantioselective fluorescent recognition of amino acids and amino alcohols. His current research is focused on 3D printable polymers and biomaterials.
Shifeng comes from Bengbu, China. In his free time, he likes to watch movies and sports. He also plays basketball and tennis.
